How is the Balloon placed and removed?
- The balloon is compressed inside a capsule connected to a thin catheter.
- The capsule, along with the catheter, is swallowed with a large glass of water under the doctor’s supervision.
- An X-ray is performed to check the location of the capsule.
- The capsule is then attached to a filling system containing 550 ml of saline solution.
- The painless filling through the catheter takes approximately 7 minutes.
- A second X-ray is conducted to confirm that the filling is successful.
- The catheter is gently removed through the mouth, which takes about 3 seconds.
- Procedure takes up to 20 minutes.
- Nutritionist develops an individual nutrition plan for the first 6 weeks and supervises the patient throughout the 6 months period.
